Image
What you see is what you get. In the near future human machine communication will be key to build trust in autonomous driving vehicles. The functionality of a vehicle will be translated to the passengers via the display. The reality of the image will play a vital role; the image needs to be as sharp as possible and at CarUX we have a variety of techniques at our disposal to ensure this.
High resolution
As many pixels as possible on one inch, makes the image spotless. Even the finest lines in you UX design become visible. Even the smallest street names on the navigation map will be readable. This allows for extraordinary detail on the screen, without any compromises on the display quality that we are all used to.
Colour depth
With 10-bit color depth the color spectrum is increased from 16.7 million to over a billion possible colors. This means the transition from on color to another will be much smoother. A higher color depth will result in a much more natural looking image on the display.
Colour saturation
To make images look as natural as possible the colors on the display are enhanced. 100% NTSC makes the colors look natural. But in an automotive environment the colors serve another purpase. 105% NTSC exaggerates the signal colors of for instance warning lights. (105% NTSC)
Contrast
Deeply black backgrounds make an image sparkle even more. Using a miniLED backlight we make prefect contrast possible for automotive, while maintaining reliability and elimination image burn in.
Future innovations
On top of the standard display quality specifications, CarUX is also innovating and creating new features that will make the in-car experience even better. To prevent distraction of the driver we created Privacy View. To provide a digital solution for mirrors we created low latency Virtual Rear Mirror displays. And to be ready for the future we are creating MicroLED.
